For as long as I can remember, getting lost in the simple joy of wrapping gifts has been one of my favorite holiday rituals. After all of the shopping madness settles, I spend one peaceful evening coordinating a menagerie of paper and embellishments.
You know how I love coordinating , you know how I love 20’s inspired design… So with feathers, shimmer, and moody colors in mind, I ran free at a few of my local favorites (Michaels, Joann Fabric, Broadway Paper, and Target).
I began with basic wrapping paper and patterned scrap book sheets (love this one sheet option for small boxes) and dressed things up with holiday trim (an unexpected favorite), buttons, brooches, ornaments, and ribbon. As I worked through the designs, I thought about how these packages could translate into a store display, or be adapted for wedding and event favors.
At the end of this indulgent session, I sorted through a slew of contenders to bring you my favorites. To my fellow fans of wrap, I hope these spark wonderful new ideas.
