(With a lot of people reading this post, thought I would update for you!)
Well, yes I do (with pleasure). Exteriors feel like a completely different entity than interiors and I love that. In fact, I have really grown to look forward to the season each year.
Exteriors have their own process which usually begins with the use of Photoshop. I color and restyle your photos, experiment with shades and combinations, settle on a few directions, and send them your way.
This begins an open conversation leading to rigorous paint sampling- until we settle on the perfect colors and design touches. It’s really important to study the paint on the house’s surface at different points of the day to avoid strange undertones. Have you ever seen a house that turns pink in the evening? Whew, must be very careful!
I guess you could say the pressure is on :) But with careful consideration (whether you’re near or far), we can come up with a great plan. It is amazing what a paint job and small tweaks can do for the facade.
Here’s is an updated collection of before and afters-
After. Just finished this one, we love the results- read more here.
My favorite after :) Such a pretty house to begin with, the new colors really made it stand out on the block.
After. Very cool historic home. The client wanted an updated, more natural feel. Amazing what just shifting trim can do.
After a Photoshop recolor/restyle. 2 options, the client chose the natural brick look.
After a Photoshop recolor/restyle. I work on lots of 70’s ranch style homes probably because owners want to dramatically update, but the changes are hard to visualize. You would not believe how these places transform.
After. Sometimes it is just a subtle shift! We toned down the green to an earthy khaki, and changed the door stain so it flowed with the copper awning.
There you have it, I will share more as they are completed. If your exterior needs a little love, contact me anytime.
