In strolling through a local Sherwin-Williams paint store to catch a quart of paint, I blissfully caught eyes with the HGTV Home color collections display.
Amongst your average store wall, full of paint cans and signs about various things, this sparkly gem steals the show. Without realizing I was creating a semi-scene, by yelling wow and trying to snap photos before someone told me no- the manager asked if I would like to take the whole display home. I might have even said yes if he was serious ;) lol
The display is petite and not overwhelming in choices. Well organized, beautiful, and carefully categorized through 8 individual booklets under titles- Coastal Cool, Color Pizazz, Global Spice, Liveable Luxe, Neutral Nuance, Rustic Redefined, Traditional Twist, and Urban Organic.
We have seen “designer” paint color collections in home improvement stores before. Usually there are a few booklets with nice combinations next to colors that would turn your room into a possible “what was she/he thinking” situation. Not the case here…
I was particularly struck by the functionality of this well coordinated array of hues ranging from subtle to bold (but not crazy bold). Like, you could really USE these colors. There was some impressive expert thought involved here and I love that.
Of the 8 booklets, I can’t find 1 I do not like. I can even imagine individual clients who would love a category or 2. I think Global Spice is my favorite, but it’s a tough call.
If you are looking to paint a room, take a peak at these collections! The photos do not capture the real charm. What’s left? Which color goes where… That’s when you call me. My love for paint runs deep. Cheers readers!
