Exactly! Thank you House Beautiful for this recent blip.
I used to suggest photos lightly, but that has really changed in the last year. I’ve come to realize, this is the single most powerful way for me to emerge in your vision. Quickly. And without spending a week exploring options that might not hit the mark 100%.
I love how Connie mentions- Charlotte would pick up on things clients didn’t even know about themselves. This happens (all the time)! Even when you send me a small selection of otherwise “random” photos, I can fill in the blanks. Yes, there is intuition involved too.
No client has ever sent me a picture of an ugly room, lol. Even when someone tells me they are STRICTLY TRADITIONAL… there is always a glimmer of contemporary. Clean lines, a bold print, a pop of color… I’m usually pleasantly surprised.
We all appreciate a beautiful space. And together we can get there (through many different avenues). Let wonderful resources like Houzz, blogs, catalogs, and retail websites be your guide.
Now to share some real examples. See what clients are sending over-
Sital’s Chic Modern Global. She told me her sense of color was forever enlightened by trips to her family’s native India. We choose saturated colors like red, gold, violet, and blue. Oh-la-la.
Amber’s Adorable Eclectic 1930’s. The most interesting mix of taste, and loves bold… We painted and discussed wallpaper, fabric, rugs, and art with a retro 20’s, glamorous vibe.
Colleen’s Artful 1920’s with Bright Pops. We are just beginning our creative journey with paint and a grand vision which incorporates really cool old furniture to be determined…
Mary & Andy’s Chicago-Style Condo. They renovated a downtown condo in the best modern-classic taste. Mary loves soothing blue grays…
Just a glimpse my friends… What would you send me? Have a great week, more to come.
(thank you Houzz, Pinterest, and World Market for the photo inspiration)
