Lately I’ve noticed TONS of “Please Help Me with My Exterior” postings on Houzz. Here is one example.
The story is generally- “I will be repainting/restyling my exterior. The cost is substantial and I have no idea where to begin with color/design. How do I coordinate roof, siding, brick, fascia, shutters, etc? I tried using the paint company’s visualizer but it confused me even more.”
Next there’s a long stream of advice offered. Everyone is trying to help, but the web gets very tangled y’all :)
Consider hiring a professional/designer (we can help) to recolor/restyle photos of your home, using better programs than visualizers.
Even though we specify color everyday, exteriors are complicated, and usually require more attention than calling out numbers. There is an art to balancing surface materials/colors/textures/contrast.
For a very reasonable price (small fraction of the total), you can move forward knowing your choices will justify the investment and IMPROVE curb appeal in a major way!
I’ve been called into too many exterior color interventions, after work is half-complete and homeowners have lost sleep.
Sometimes people simply do not know services like this exist!
Well, Happy Spring readers. I hope to fuel your renovations and fill you with visual inspiration. Cheers!
