Hello Everyone! The end of 2015 swept me up in personal home renovations (what a job!). I’m waiting on a sofa from joybird.com to begin decorating & sharing. Thankfully the chaotic days are over, just in time for a fresh 2016. I’m recharged, ready to dive-in to a long business to-do list with the completion of new portfolio images at the top of the list. For a little preview visit us on instagram (colorzenmilwaukee). We’ve been steadily busy coloring & creating for you :) Some really cool jobs in 2015…
Most importantly, let’s talk color trends. After listening to forecasts & sifting through millions of inspirations, here are our picks for hot hues you’ll see in 2016 and beyond.
1. New Neutrals. Look no further than the eggshell >
The palette is inspired by the quest for balance, quiet, peace, healthful living… Most surprising note- GRAY WAS IN THE BACKGROUND this year :)
Very zen, so you know we’re loving it. Can you do soft pink? That is the question, lol.
2. Green. Is back!
It returns to us in a variety of shades, with very retro or deep earthy roots. Jade, forest, kelly, emerald, and dare I say SAGE ;) Even on the walls…sage.
I just colored an amazing 1920’s flip home & kept wanting to sneak this color in ^
I find this one interesting! You don’t see it filter through very often. I would say my most requested color last year was blue. Lots of powdery versions, some periwinkle.
Very, very serene in a room. Just don’t ever call it purple! People totally freak, ha.
4. Red. Flashes of it. In a bright shade between true and tomato. Mix in some white and you have hot coral. That’s a popular one too.
Have you noticed an abundance of red shoes for men and women? In fashion and interiors it’s tempered by the use of black and white.
Some amazing red chairs out there. Throw that in the mix and your room will sing.
There you have a taste. If you have questions about trend colors or better yet, a room that needs a lift- contact me anytime.
