This Mudroom Design Went Viral on Houzz.

You never know what may touch the people's senses in the field of design. To my surprise, this mudroom has been saved hundreds of times on Houzz. It was also selected for a homepage article which ran several times - 10 Ways to Make Your Home a Haven. Contributing to this remodel project was residential architect, Fein Design, the homeowner & I (finish selections/styling). Photograph by Ryan Hainey. To tell you honestly, standing in the room just feels good. I've come to believe that may be the only test for successful interior design. Do you want to stay for a glass of wine... or not. Even if you have to do the laundry. The answer is yes. For this room, we selected SW westhighland white for woodwork (one of my favs), a (gasp) "wood" laminate for counters with durability in mind (turned out great), black porcelain floor tile, a basketweave charcoal and white mosiac for backsplash and SW rainwashed for walls.
